About the film
As a film crew comprised of students of the Film and television faculty of the VŠMU, we have an ambition to create a meaningful short film, which will entertain us as well as the audience. Despite it being a short film (around 20 minutes), its production will be very financially challenging, and for us basically unachievable without external financial contributions. Therefore, we will be very grateful for every contribution and share.
STORY
Policeman Tibor, plagued with stereotypes, has to deal with yet another road incident caused by a young and irresponsible driver, in which a small boy was hurt. During his investigation, Tibor discovers inconsistencies in the witness statements, and suspects that the causes behind the boy´s injuries may be something else entirely. This story takes place in Slovak countryside.
THEME AND GENRE
The main theme of our story is bullying, with which, we as authors, had been confronted numerous times during our lives. Our screenwriter was heavily inspired by the real-life motives of people and events, which he observed during his adolescence, in his home village in the Záhorie region. Even though bullying is still very present in our society, it is still a taboo subject to many, preventing people from acknowledging, nor acting against it. The aim of this movie/film is not to present solutions to this problem, it is to remind the society and ideally inspire it to again spark a discussion dedicated to it.
The genre of this movie/film is a social drama with comedic motives/elements. Despite its heavy theme, we want to breathe humour into this film, which is an integral part of our lives as creators, and which is supposed to help the viewer in digesting otherwise tough themes that are presented. The comedy of the story is built upon the contrast of the archetypes of the characters set onto a background of a rural village, and their mutual relationship and confrontations.
“AUTONEHODA (Car accident)” is a working title of this project.

She has a great feeling for mise-en-scène in symbiosis with the story, theme, and genre of the work. Her creative and responsive cooperation with the DOP and director is an integral part of an authentic and aesthetic film work.
What will the money be used for?
Since the main plot of the film is a car accident, we need the cooperation of the police and rescue services to make this film happen. We would use the funds for the necessary participation of these components in filming, for the rental of a police car and an ambulance, and for other expenses related to the locations (rent, energy, transport costs, etc.).
We also need funds for the rental of camera equipment, without which the realization of an audio-visual work is impossible, and the rental of costumes and props, which are also necessary part of an authentic and visually attractive mise-en-scène.
