My name is Silvia. I am the wife of a man who has been fighting leukemia for eight years and the mother of a little girl. I never imagined I would have to publicly ask for help. Throughout my life, I have always worked hard, cared for my family, and tried to overcome every challenge on my own. Today, however, we are facing a situation we cannot manage without support.
My husband was once an active athlete and boxer, a strong man others could rely on. Today, the disease is slowly taking away his strength. Some days even simple daily activities are difficult, yet he continues to fight with determination.
The hardest part is watching our daughter, who is still too young to understand what is happening. She only sees that her daddy is often tired and that our lives revolve around doctors, treatments, and medical results. More than anything, I want her to have her father by her side for as long as possible.
This may no longer be just another option. It may be his last chance.
This campaign is for my husband, whose treatment options in Slovakia have become very limited. A new medication was not approved for him, and he is currently facing a period without the treatment he urgently needs. Every day brings uncertainty, fear, and concern about what lies ahead.
Today, our greatest hope lies in treatment abroad, particularly in India, where we have been offered the opportunity to attend a 6-week program at Vaidyagrama Ayurveda Healing Village in Tamil Nadu. According to the proposed treatment plan, the stay would include traditional Ayurveda care with Panchakarma therapies, physician consultations, medicines, therapeutic procedures, and personalized recommendations aimed at improving his overall condition and quality of life. The estimated cost of treatment and related travel expenses is approximately €10,000. We are also considering treatment options in the Czech Republic, where additional medical opportunities may become available. Unfortunately, these costs are beyond our family's financial means. We live on his disability pension and my parental allowance while raising our young daughter and covering our everyday expenses.
When our financial situation worsened, I returned to work as a nanny because I wanted to earn the money for his treatment myself. I worked honestly for several months, believing I was taking the first steps toward making treatment abroad possible. However, the approximately €3,000 I was supposed to receive was never paid. We lost not only money but also valuable time and hope.
This fundraiser was created because we do not want to give up. It is our chance to continue searching for treatment and keep fighting this disease.
Today, I am asking for help for him, not for myself
All funds raised will be used for treatment abroad, specialist medical consultations, travel expenses, accommodation related to treatment, and other necessary medical costs connected to my husband's illness.
If more funds are raised than expected, they will be used for additional treatment, follow-up examinations, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who decides to help through a donation, sharing our story, or offering support. Every contribution means much more than financial assistance. It means hope, time, and another chance for my husband and our daughter's father to remain with us for as long as possible.
