Volám sa Klára Kapustová, mám 19 rokov a pochádzam z Banskej Bystrice. Bola som prijatá na dvojročný medzinárodný tanečný program Performact v Portugalsku. Potrebovala by som vašu pomoc s pokrytím školného a ubytovania, aby som si mohla splniť sen a priniesť skúsenosti zo súčasného tanca späť na Slovensko.

My name is Klára Kapustová, I am 19 years old and I’m from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. I have been accepted into a two-year international dance program called Performact in Portugal. I would be very grateful for your help in covering the tuition and accommodation costs so I can fulfill my dream and bring contemporary dance experience back to Slovakia.
Môj príbeh:
Tancu sa venujem od detstva – predovšetkým súčasnému tancu v Divadle Štúdio tanca, kde som ako malá aj veľká mala možnosť byť v rôznych inscenáciach a pracovať s profesionálnymi tanečníkmi.
Keď som bola vybraná do predstavenia Sen, mala som možnosť zažiť celý tvorivý proces od prvej myšlienky až po konečné predstavenie. Bol to pre mňa neskutočný zážitok vidieť a zažiť ako z jednej myšlienky vznikne tak nádherné a zmysluplné dielo vyjadrené tancom a vtedy som si uvedomila, že sa chcem tomu venovať naplno – nielen ako performerka, ale aj ako autorka vlastných diel.
My Story:
I’ve been dancing since I was a child – mainly contemporary dance at the Dance Studio Theatre (Divadlo Štúdio tanca), where I had the opportunity to take part in various productions and work with professional dancers from a young age.
When I was selected to perform in the production Sen (Dream), I had the chance to experience the entire creative process – from the very first idea to the final performance. It was an incredible experience for me to see and be part of how a single idea can grow into such a beautiful and meaningful piece of art expressed through dance. That was the moment I realized I wanted to fully dedicate myself to dance – not only as a performer but also as a creator of my own work.
O aký program ide?
Bola som prijatá na dvojročný medzinárodný tanečný program Performact v Portugalsku, ktorý mi poskytne intenzívne vzdelanie v technike, choreografii aj tvorbe vlastných diel. Je to výnimočná príležitosť – najmä preto, že na Slovensku takéto praktické a medzinárodne prepojené štúdium súčasného tanca zatiaľ neexistuje.
Program je síce cenovo dostupnejší než klasické univerzity, no náklady sú aj tak vysoké, najmä pre čerstvú absolventku strednej školy. Popri škole plánujem pracovať, no bez pomoci nedokážem pokryť všetky výdavky. Preto vás s pokorou a nádejou prosím o podporu.
I have been accepted into a two-year international dance program called Performact in Portugal, which will provide me with intensive training in technique, choreography, and the creation of original work. It’s a unique opportunity – especially because there is currently no such practical and internationally connected contemporary dance education available in Slovakia.
Although the program is more affordable than regular dance universities, the costs are still high – especially for a recent high school graduate. I plan to work alongside my studies, but I won’t be able to cover all the expenses on my own. That’s why I’m humbly and hopefully asking for your support.
Why does this mean so much to me?
I’m not a graduate of a dance conservatory – dance has always been “just” my passion, something I pursued alongside school. That’s why I had a lot of doubts. But the support and belief of the dancers from the theatre, my family, and my friends convinced me that this path has meaning – that I should follow my dream. Thanks to them, I found the courage.
This program is my dream and, at the same time, an opportunity to receive a high-quality education that I would one day love to bring back to Slovakia.
