Mám osobný kontakt na základnú školu v Keni, Green Garden Academy, kde som raz pomáhala stavať kuchyňu a druhýkrát som tam priviedla stredoškolákov z Dubaja.

I have a personal contact with a primary school in Kenya, Green Garden Academy, where I once helped build a kitchen and the second time I brought high school students from Dubai there. Thanks to this charity project, the school can now educate more children from the surrounding area.
However, school management faces problems with funding day-to-day operations, such as providing nutritious meals to more than 400 children twice a day. Only about 100 of these 400 children have sponsors. Sponsors from abroad pay €20 per month for a specific child they have chosen and receive handwritten letters from them via email. However, this is not enough and the school has a problem covering this difference between money collected and what it actually costs to run a school on a monthly basis. It is a private school where the parents initially paid the tuition fees, but when they lose their jobs, the school does not want to send these children home. Without education, no good future awaits them and they will not break the circle of generational poverty in which their parents found themselves.
