My name is Iveta Šelingová Kovácsová, and I help cats who have no one else—only us.
I didn’t grow up in Senec. Work brought me here, and very quickly I realized something that shocked me: there is no local organization in Senec that rescues or protects street cats.
Dozens of cats are left to survive completely on their own.
My husband and I have several rescued street cats at home, so helping animals has always been a natural part of my life.
Since August 2020, through my personal Facebook blog Mačka-kocúr-mačiatko people from Senec—and from both nearby and far‑away towns—began reaching out to me for help.
Injured cats, sick kittens, abandoned mothers… whenever someone didn’t know what to do, they turned to me.
And that’s how it all began:
one woman, a phone in her hand, a car full of carriers… and cats who would not have survived without help.
Every rescue, every vet bill, every can of food—absolutely everything—has always been covered thanks to the generosity of kind people.
Without you, none of this would be possible.
For a long time, I worked alongside my husband. Then life brought the right people at the right moments.
In 2024, Andrejka stepped in to help when we rescued five very sick kittens from a garden colony. She nursed them back to health, found homes for them, and two of them became part of her family. Since then, she has been by my side—driving 40 km to Senec whenever a cat needs help, never counting fuel, time, or effort.

In 2025, we rescued a mother cat who had been hit by a car. She had three kittens hiding with her near a hotel. We managed to catch all of them. The mother cat was treated, but she was traumatized, feral, and unable to survive on the street again. Returning her outside would have meant losing her. Lea adopted her—no hesitation, no fear, just kindness. And with her adoption came a huge heart for rescue work. Lea quickly became an amazing foster carer—feeding sick kittens, giving medication, rushing to the vet, helping with trapping. She travels 30 km to Senec whenever needed.
Today, we are three volunteers doing the work no one else in Senec is doing.
What do we do?
• rescue injured, abandoned, and sick cats
• provide veterinary care
• give temporary foster homes
• find responsible adopters
• trap, neuter, and return feral cats
• return untamable cats safely back to their territories after treatment
We receive no funding,
we get no discounts,
we are not an organization—
we exist solely because of the people who choose to help us.
In 2024, I created a transparent account, so everyone can see exactly how donations are used:
• no cash withdrawals
• no unexplained transfers
• only vet bills, food, litter, and supplies for cats in foster care
Every cent is visible to anyone.
We help street cats in need — those who are sick, injured, or overlooked. We improve their quality of life through neutering, medical care, and finding new home. If a cat cannot be socialized and rehomed, we return it to its original environment after it has been treated and neutered.
What we need help with in 2026?
- veterinary care (treatments, surgeries, medications, neutering/spaying)
- quality food and veterinary diets, litter and absorbent pads for kittens in foster care
- germicidal UV lamp to keep our own cats safe when sick kittens arrive
- new cat trap, so we can continue rescuing safely and effectively.
Every donation—no matter the amount—means:
- a full belly for a hungry kitten
- medicine for a painful condition a sterilization that prevents future suffering
- a life saved
Thank you for helping us help them.
With your support, we can save lives that would otherwise remain in cold, hunger, and pain.
Together, we change their world.
