We are Erik and Maroš and we are organizing this campaign in support of our friend, the founder and commander of the Georgian National Legion, Mamuk Mamulašvili, who is fighting with the unit against the occupiers in Ukraine and from whom we have an official mandate to organize fundraising in Slovakia.
This is our seventh campaign for the Georgian National Legion, the previous six campaigns were successful, a total of €155,197 was raised and they were implemented. We can demonstrate very clearly how the units of the Georgia National Legion are using the technology you helped them acquire.
We do not agree with the occupation of Ukrainian territories from the very beginning in 2014, the Russian imperial policy, which was also experienced by Georgia in 2008 and many other countries, is repugnant to us. We are trying to translate our disagreement and opposition to Russia's policy and military aggression into help for this specific unit and specific equipment.
Who will we help?
With this campaign, we will help the commander and founder of GNL, Mamuk Mamulašvili, whom the Russian occupiers and collaborators tried to poison several times. He became known for his actions against the occupiers and has long been in the stomach of the Russian military command due to the damage caused by LNG. Apart from Georgians, many other nationalities fight for Ukraine in the Georgian National Legion. The unit was created in 2014 and since 2016 has been integrated into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The unit took part in the fighting from the first days of the invasion – it fought in the Battle of Antonov Airfield (also known as the Battle of Hostomeli).
Its commander and founder Mamuka Mamulashvili (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamuka_Mamulashvili) is a legend and a Hero of the fight against the occupiers from Russia, wherever they appear. His contribution to the liberation of Ukraine is enormous, for which he has already received several state awards.
What exactly will the money from this campaign be used for?
The donated money from this collection will be used to finance the medical expenses incurred and still incurred during the treatment and recovery after the poisoning of the commander of the Georgian National Legion, Mamuka Mamulashvili.
