My name is Dominika. I am 31 years old and I am from Poprad. I am battling an incurable diagnosis of neuromyelitis optica [a fatal diagnosis] and am in a wheelchair. I am taken care of by my mum 24/7.
I overcame pneumonia [legionella] last December. After pneumonia, my eyesight started to deteriorate and unfortunately my right eye is also going blind. The left eye has been blind for a long time.
In Slovakia, the treatment is completely exhausted, I am on corticoids, biological treatment and other drugs for a long time.
Who do we help?
After submitting my medical reports to the clinic in Berlin, I am suitable for their treatment. My goal is to undergo electrical impulse therapy in Berlin to stop the progression of blindness. I am going to the clinic in Berlin on July 15 because of the very rapid deterioration of my vision.
The treatment in Berlin will be repeated after a few months, when more money will be needed for the treatment. I firmly believe that thanks to this treatment my vision will improve. My motto is never to GIVE UP and my will to live is very strong. But unfortunately I can't do it myself without the help of people. I am grateful for every single euro.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help.
Fedorov's restoration therapy – a breakthrough in the treatment of vision restoration
The Restore Vision Clinic in Berlin was founded for one specific reason – to improve vision of patients. Treatments are intended for people with visual impairment to improve their ability to see the world around them better.
Fedorov restoration therapy is an interdisciplinary approach which connects the science of ophthalmology and neurology. This breakthrough in medicine for vision restoration reaches amazing results at various different types and stages of visual function damage.
Treatments are adapted to the patients' s needs thanks to the best process of electric stimulation for getting the best results possible. This is one of the reasons why more than 75% of patients have improved vision already after the first treatment.
Fedorov therapy is non-invasive and non-surgical concept of natural restoration or vision improvement with stable results and with no other risks of side effects. These positive results are reached by tenuous stimuli of electric current application that stimulate partial damaged cells, retina and improve conductance of signals into the brain. Fedorov therapy is unable to replace, nor restore optic nerves. Instead it increases function of preserved cells on retina and increases activity along optic nerves. Electric stimulation increases overall optic system activity and leads to its functional restoration.
What exactly will the funds be used for?
Main funds will be used for the treatments in clinic in Germany, transport and accommodation.
Any funds left will be used for vitamins that I take regularly, hyperbaric chamber that I visit, for biological treatment (which is not covered by health insurance and I take it regularly).
