I am a father of two wonderful daughters – Paulínka (13) and Sofinka (8). I have been taking care of them on my own for the past three years. Their mother loves them very much, but due to serious health problems she is unable to care for them. The girls miss their mother deeply.
We live modestly on a single income – my pension. With careful budgeting, it covers our basic needs, but there is nothing left beyond that.
Over the years, I have tried not to deny my daughters anything, but the truth is that I have not been able to provide them with полноценné holidays or fulfill their dreams. Recently, our old car broke down and needs repairs, which has made our situation even more difficult.
Despite this, my daughters are talented and determined. Both have learned to speak English fluently, and my older daughter writes stories and scripts. They watch movies in English and dream of traveling the world one day.
In place of their absent mother, the girls are supported by me and by the trainer of a specially trained dog named Bruno. This is a method called canistherapy – working with a specially trained dog to help stabilize children’s mental well-being. Bruno’s trainer is Jannet from the AURA kynology club.
Who are we helping?
The help is intended for my daughters – Paulínka and Sofinka.
Their big dream is to experience their first airplane flight and spend time in a country where English is spoken. They want to learn, explore the world, and develop their talents.
Paulínka also has a congenital condition (oliganglionosis) that requires ongoing treatment and care. This is another reason why I wish for them to experience childhood to the fullest.
Sofinka suffers from a genetic condition and needs canistherapy, which requires financial support for the trainer and the specially trained dog.
As a father, I strive to be everything for them – support, family, and a stable home. My greatest wish is to prepare them for life and give them an education that will open doors to their future and also help improve their health.
What will the funds from this campaign be used for?
The funds will be used for a two-week study stay abroad at Royal Holloway University, where the girls will focus intensively on learning English.
The costs include:
- the study program and tuition
- accommodation and meals
- flights and transportation
- insurance and other necessary expenses
If the full amount is not raised, I will use all the funds so that at least one of the children can attend the program, and the remaining funds will go toward canistherapy.
Every euro brings them one step closer to their dream – education, experiences, and the future they deserve.
