My name is Erik and I am organizing this campaign in support of the Georgian National Legion https://georgianlegion.com.ua/ unit fighting in Ukraine. I have opposed the Russian occupation of Ukraine since its beginning in 2014, and I am disgusted by Russia's imperial policy, which Georgia also experienced in 2008 and many other countries.
Who will we help?
With this appeal, we will help the Georgian National Legion, in which, in addition to Georgians, many other nationalities are fighting for Ukraine. The unit was established in 2014 as a response to the annexation of Crimea. In the first years of the war in Donbas, GL trained the militia and helped the Ukrainian army in its defense. GL fighters participated in many legendary battles and individual members have various decorations for their services in the defense of Ukraine. Of course, GL was also involved in the battles from the first days of the full-fledged invasion – it fought in the Battle of Antonov Airport (also known as the Battle of Hostomel)
What specifically will the money from this campaign be used for?
The money from the campaign will be used to purchase two DJI Matrice – M3T drones, which will help the unit monitor the whereabouts of wounded soldiers from their unit and help navigate medics or a transport team to the wounded.
