This campaign is organized by us – people who believe that even in the midst of war, every child has the right to life, dignity, freedom, and love.
Our help has a name: the organization Sociálne bývanie n.o. and the Rehabilitation Centre in Svaljava, located in the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine – a safer corner of the country where we strive every day to create a better tomorrow for the most vulnerable.
Many of the children we support have lost their parents during the war. They have experienced bombings, fleeing, cold, and fear – things that should never be part of a child's life.
We have been operating in Svaljava since 2014. Since then, we have worked intensively and systematically with children in need of physical, neurological, and psychological rehabilitation. We care for each one individually – for every body, every heart, every story.
At the same time, we train a new generation of healthcare professionals, therapists, and volunteers so that children will continue to have access to modern and compassionate care in the future.
We strive to create an island of safety for them – a place where they don’t hear sirens, only the voice of a supportive adult. A place where they can sleep peacefully, heal, play, and breathe childhood again.
But we only have two months.
A child's body and soul cannot wait. We must make the most of this time to secure the essential equipment and professional care.
We need your help – now.
Children who are facing what no child should ever have to know.
We will help the most vulnerable – 30 children from Ukraine whose lives have been dramatically changed by war. Many of them lost their parents during the conflict, lost their homes, their sense of security, and even access to basic healthcare. These are children growing up in an environment filled with fear, the sound of sirens, and no sense of future.
They suffer from severe physical disabilities, deep psychological trauma, and serious diagnoses – including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and other incurable conditions. Some children have undergone chemotherapy; others live with diagnoses that limit them every single day.
But they all have one thing in common – they need intensive, professional, and compassionately delivered rehabilitation.
That is why the rehabilitation centre in Svaljava exists – to provide long-term care for these children, physically, psychologically, and emotionally.
But in August 2025, we want to give them more than just ordinary help. From August 17 to 31, we are planning a stay for these 30 seriously ill children in specialized clinics and rehabilitation centres in Italy (Paralympic Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Associazione “Dinsi Une Man”, Caritas Diocesana di Udine, Parrocchia di Gonars, Associazione “San Luigi Scrosoppi”).
Their health and progress will be supported by international teams of specialists – doctors, physiotherapists, child psychologists, and trauma experts.
There, the children will receive not only a chance to improve their mobility, speech, or independence, but also rare moments free from war – days without sirens, in safety, touched by expertise and humanity.
Your donation will help 30 Ukrainian children cope with an incredibly difficult situation.
Your contributions will be used to provide a specialized rehabilitation stay for 30 children from Ukraine living with severe disabilities, cancer, and incurable illnesses. These are children who have suffered serious physical or psychological consequences of war and now require professional care that their home environment cannot offer.
From August 17 to 31, 2025, we plan to transport these children to specialized clinics and rehabilitation centres in Italy, where experienced teams of doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nurses will take care of them.
Together, we need €60,000 to support these Ukrainian children:
1️⃣ Transportation for sick children on the route Svaljava – Lignano Sabbiadoro and back
(bus, drivers, tolls, fuel, support staff): €8,000
2️⃣ Accommodation and meals for 30 seriously ill children and 10 essential medical and legal escorts
(14 nights, special diets, nutritional needs, lodging, cleaning, accessible rooms): €33,600 – approx. €840 per person
3️⃣ Mandatory travel insurance for 30 children and their escorts within the European Union: €4,480 – €112 per person for the entire stay
4️⃣ Medication, medical supplies, hygiene products, and specialized equipment needed throughout the rehabilitation stay
(medicines, hygiene kits, consumable medical materials): €4,920
5️⃣ Technical and organizational support
(interpretation services throughout the stay, translation of medical reports, communication with Italian clinics, logistical support): €9,000
If we are unable to raise the full target amount, we will prioritize the most vulnerable children with urgent diagnoses and cover their basic travel and treatment costs.
If we raise more than the target amount, we will be able to include additional children, extend the duration of the stay, or expand cooperation with more specialized medical centers abroad.
Every euro will be transformed into tangible help.
THANK YOU.
